For a complete doorset or specialist product, we confirm suitability and the manufacturer’s fitting requirements before accepting the work.
How much does exterior door fitting cost?
The price depends on the door material, size and condition of the opening, whether a frame is needed, and the hardware and finishing work included. A straightforward replacement and a damaged doorway require different amounts of preparation.
Send photos of both sides of the door, approximate dimensions, your postcode and details of any door you plan to buy. We will discuss the options and provide a free quotation with the agreed scope.
Exterior door fitting FAQs
Can you fit a front door I have already purchased?
We can discuss fitting-only work. Please send the product details first so we can check the size, frame and installation requirements.
Do I need a new door frame?
Not always. We inspect the frame’s condition and suitability for the replacement door, then explain whether it can be retained, repaired or replaced.
Can you help with a sticking exterior door?
Yes. We assess alignment, hinges, clearances and the condition of the timber before recommending an adjustment or repair.
Are locks and decorating included?
We agree hardware, preparation, finishing and disposal as part of the quotation. Tell us what you would like included.
